Podium and Poster presentations
The Chiropractic & Osteopathic College of Australasia (COCA) calls for podium and poster presentations
for its annual conference to be held 24th-26th October in Melbourne.
For Podium presentations
Abstracts, not exceeding 300 words, should be typed, double spaced, in 12 point font referenced as appropriate
and in electronic format and should be generally (but not exclusively) drafted under the following headings;
Introduction, Objectives, Methods, Results, Discussion/Conclusion
Proposed research methodologies and case reports will be considered. In these instances alternate formats for
abstracts apply*. All abstracts will undergo peer review prior to selection. Time for presentation is 11 minutes
with 4 minutes of questions. Authors whose podium presentations are not accepted may be invited to submit
their work as a poster for presentation at the conference.
For Poster presentations
Abstracts, not exceeding 300 words, should be typed, double spaced, in 12 point font referenced as appropriate
and in electronic format and should be generally (but not exclusively) drafted under the following headings;
Introduction, Objectives, Methods, Results, Discussion/Conclusion
Proposed research methodologies and case reports will be considered. In these instances alternate formats
for abstracts apply*. All poster submissions will undergo peer review prior to selection. Students are also
encouraged to apply. Posters accepted at previous conferences in the year prior to the COCA meeting will be
considered. Details regarding guidelines for posters is available on COCAs website.
Deadline for submissions: Friday 26 September
*Alternate formats should comply with Instructions to authors for the Journal C&O found under the sub
heading “Article types” on this page:

Prizes will be awarded for the best Podium and Poster presentation.
