Therapod Seating Solutions have set a new standard for heavy duty office chairs.

Therapod Seating Solutions is Australian owned and the chairs are made in Australia. The chairs carry the Australian made banner as well as the COCA endorsement and are setting the pace in Australia.

AFRDI (Australian Furniture Research & Development Institute) recently added a higher standard to their regular testing of office chairs to include the more stringent and tougher rating of BS5459 – which certifies chairs catering for people up to 200kg in a heavy-duty situation.

This higher standard of testing was requested by Therapod Seating Solutions so it could be used on the Energy Series 1 chair that is endorsed by the College. The testing of this chair was carried out over 16 weeks at a considerable cost. Having passed these tests this chair now sets a new bench mark for high quality chairs.

This is another example of the extreme lengths that Therapod Seating Solutions go to ensuring their chairs are of the highest quality and meet with the current best- practices for responsible environmental manufacturing processes. Office chairs endorsed by the College have also been tested and approved by an independent ergonomic specialist in addition to AFRDI and all are certified to Australian/New Zealand Standards.
