Marketing your practice using your COCA membership
Later this year, all COCA members will receive a 2004/05 membership decal and poster touching upon the essence of COCA’s mission and objectives. As a member of COCA, you are encouraged and entitled to ‘market’ your college membership to your patients, colleagues and to the public.

If you are in public practice, consider affixing the decal to your shopfront door or window and display the poster in your waiting or practice rooms. If you are not in public practice, perhaps you could display your COCA membership in your office or workplace, in accordance with your employer policy.

COCA Spine Pain 2004 Conference Postponed
It is with regret, I have to inform members that due to circumstances beyond our control, we have had to postpone our Spine Pain conference, to another date in 2005.

Whilst we are disappointed with having to postpone the conference, nevertheless members should be aware that COCA has endorsed and supports the 5th Interdisciplinary World Congress on Low Back & Pelvic Pain conference, to be held in Melbourne from 10-13 November 2004.

Members please note, that the COCA AGM and Executive meeting will now be held on 12 November 2004, timed to align with the World Congress.

COCA News Editor ‘retiring’ to have a baby
This issue of COCA News will be the last for our Editor Simone Marshall, as she will be having her first child very soon. Simone, thank you for the care, attention and time devoted to the Editorship of COCA News. The publication is now really ‘the’ most dynamic means of getting COCA’s message out to chiropractors, osteopaths and other health professionals.

In my view, the publication has gone ahead in leaps and bounds since I first laid eyes upon it. As Editor, Simone oversaw the introduction of a new masthead and corporate consistency, together with additional colour and a new layout all combining to enhance the publication.

Simone, on behalf of the membership please accept our sincere thanks - bon voyage and happy motherhood.
