COCA Executive Admitted to Spine Society of Australia

The Spine Society of Australia (SSA) held its annual meeting in Canberra in April this year and Bruce Walker successfully submitted two abstracts allowing him to present these papers to Society members. The topics were the second and third papers to emanate from his Doctoral thesis on the epidemiology of low back pain in Australian adults. The papers were entitled “Low back pain in Australian adults. I. The Economic Burden, II. Care-seeking and Health Provider Utilisation”.

Bruce’s second presentation won the Rob Johnston award. This prize is for the best presentation by a surgical registrar or (post-graduate) trainee. Bruce was also admitted as a member of the Society. He is the second chiropractor to be admitted to the SSA, Dr. Lynton Giles was the first. Congratulations Bruce.
