Got A Case Study In You?
By Cameron Gosling - Editor ACO
This time of year is an ideal time to reflect on your practice and consider contributing to the body of research in chiropractic and osteopathy. As the year winds down and things relax after the festive season, how about considering writing up one of your cases for journal submission?
A recent article in the BMJ (Anwar 2003) gives an excellent blow by blow description of how to write a case report. This article is freely available on the Internet (http://bmj.bmjjournals.com/cgi/content/full/327/7424/s153-a).
The Australasian Chiropractic and Osteopathy (ACO) journal would love to receive more case reports from practitioners in the field. So if you have any interesting cases, miracle cures, or anything else that you would like to communicate to the chiro/osteo world in a peer-reviewed forum, please take the time to write it up and submit it to ACO. The ACO is always interested in promoting new research and critical discussion in our field. The editorial committee is happy to give novice researchers any assistance in the planning; conducting and reporting of clinically based research trials, clinically relevant reviews or clinical case studies.
