COCA
Professional Indemnity Insurance

Following recent negotiations between COCA and Aon Professional Services, COCA is pleased to announce the renewal of the agreement to provide Professional Indemnity (PI) insurance for 2003.

The changes in the insurance industry have lead to a moderate rise in premiums for the upcoming year, but the premium remains at a very reasonable level given the rise in claims within the healthcare industry in recent years. “The introduction of the risk management program in 2002 by COCA, and the subsequent uptake of the program by many practitioners appears to have had a positive impact upon the claims history” commented COCA President Peter Werth. “By addressing the prime areas of concern with respect to previous claims we hope to be able initiate positive practice behaviours that will reduce the likelihood of practitioners being exposed to claims against them”.
