RMIT Online Continuing Education
The Department of Complementary Medicine, RMIT University, is currently developing ongoing education modules to be delivered online via the World Wide Web. The first of these is now available to those who have internet access and who would like to review their understanding of the plain radiographic presentation of bone tumours.
The module, Diagnostic Imaging Interpretation: Bone Tumours, uses approximately 250 images from the radiologic interpretation archives and teaching files of the department to present a comprehensive overview of the clinical presentation and radiographic appearance of 30 different bone tumours. The radiographic images are ideally suited to presentation via this digital medium.
This internet approach provides the perfect vector for flexible delivery in terms of access and availability. It can be commenced at any time and is ideally suited to self paced study. This online short course has been assessed by the Chiropractic & Osteopathic College of Australasia and has been allocated a continuing education rating of 20 points, Category 1. The course costs $460 (Aust).
RMIT plans to offer other image centred programmes later this year and into 2002. In the meantime, if you would like to review and refresh your knowledge of the radiography of bone tumours you can telephone 03 9925 8111 or email enquiries@rmit.edu.au for enrolment or other details.
