Scoliosis -
An update&
Spinal Stabilisation
1 DVD
The management of scoliosis represents a challenge to practitioners who deal with this condition both conservatively and surgically. Our first speaker David de la Harpe as COCA’s Patron, is well known to members of the chiropractic and osteopathic professions. He currently holds positions at Royal Melbourne, Austin, Monash, Royal Children’s and Epworth Hospitals. David is in the unique position to be able to provide an overview of both appropriate conservative and when necessary surgical management. David will no doubt entertain and be provocative in helping you to determine how to best manage patients with this potentially debilitating condition.
Our second speaker is Melbourne born and educated chiropractor, Dr Tim Raven. Tim now resides and practises in Southern Norway. He has completed a Masters degree in Clinical Chiropractic from Anglo-European College of Chiropractic in 2003 and is now involved in research at the University of Oslo. His current area of interest is EMG activity of the lumbar multifidus musculature and the influence of manipulation. Tim will provide an overview of spinal stabilisation and its role as an adjunct to manual treatment.
