Background: Stan has been in private practice in Lilydale Victoria since 1982. He is a qualified clinical psychologist and has an active interest in the management of psychosocial factors as they relate to Chiropractic /Osteopathic practice.


Fay Karpouzis  BSc, Grad DC., MSc (Hons)

Year Appointed: 2008  –  Current Position: Secretary

Background: Fay has just completed her Master of Science (Honours) via research in paediatric and adolescent Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (AD/HD). She has established herself as an AD/HD Consultant providing an advisory service for evidence-based complementary and alternative medicine (CAM) therapies for parents who are looking for alternative or adjunctive therapies for their children’s AD/HD.

Dale Comrie  BAppSc(Chiropractic)

Background: Dale graduated from RMIT in 1995 and spent time at the University Hospital in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan (Canada), under the tutelage of David Cassidy  and Pierre Cote. He has worked in private practice at the Heidelberg Chiropractic Clinic since 1995. He has a general interest in low tech rehabilitation.


 Mario Pribicevic BSc (Anat), MChiro, PhD

Year Appointed: 2012 – Current Position: Executive Member

Background: Mario graduated in 1996 from Macquarie Univerrsity and has been in private clinical practice ever since. He specialises in sports injuries, orthopaedic diagnosis, and management of musculoskeletal and extremity disorders utilising a multimodal approach.  Mario recently completed his PhD research having conducted a randomised controlled trial of multimodal chiropractic treatment for shoulder pain. He also maintains an active role in the education of future chiropractors with a casual academic position at Macquaire University where he lectures on shoulder pain and acts as a reviewer for a number of journals.

Additional Information: Mario is active in research and has been published in Medline indexed journals. He has also published a book chapter on shoulder pain.


Peter Tuchin  BSc(Anat), GradDipChiro, DipOHS, PhD, FACC

Background: Peter Tuchin is currently a Senior Lecturer at Macquarie University in Sydney, an Injury Management consultant, a treatment provider, and is interested in chronic pain research.He has been involved in many other areas of research including headache and migraine clinical trials, OHS and injury management studies.

Peter still maintains private practice and has presented at many conferences on Evidence Based treatment outcomes, workers compensation, health issues including chronic pain, and work related injuries. Peter also worked at WorkCover NSW , and was the National OHS Manager for a large employer.

Additional Information: Peter is currently collaborating with other researchers in pain research, which includes being a member of the Scientific Advisory Board for the WikiChiro project. In addition, he is also collaborating with Dr Deborah Kopansky-Giles in inter-professional education and a WFC Bone and Joint Decade project.


Brett Vaughan BSc, MHlthSc(Osteo), GradCertTertEd

Background: Brett graduated from the osteopathy program at Victoria University in 2002. He is currently the Osteopathy Clinic Coordinator at Victoria University and is also in private practice in Doncaster East. Brett is also on the Policy Committee for the australian and New Zealand Osteopathic Council as well as being a past President of the Osteopaths Registration Board of Victoria. Brett’s professional interests include clinical education and professional development.


Peter Werth B.App.Sc (Chiropractic)

Year Appointed: 2011 – Current Position: Executive Member – Past Position(s): Hon Secretary, Vice-President, President (2001-2007)

Background: Peter has been inprivate practice for 25 years in a variety of practice settings. His clinical interest over several years has been in the field of third party injury management and he remains an independent examiner for WorkSafe Victoriaand Transport Accident Commission and he has recently been appointed as a Chiropractic Adviser to DVA.

Additional Information: Peter has recently returned to the Executive following his previous long-standing involvement with the College where he has been involved in developing seminars, conference and distance education since the inception of COMSIG (the predecessor to COCA) in the late 80’s. He was honoured with Life Membership of the College in 2007.
